Why a gift in your Will matters
Leaving a gift in your Will helps Paererewā create and care for Pae now and beyond our lifetime. Your lasting legacy becomes part of a long thread of generosity that will shape Aotearoa for many years to come.
Your gift will help:
- New Pae, creating new places of stillness and reflection across Aotearoa
- Long-term stewardship, protecting and caring for existing Pae so they remain meaningful beyond our lifetimes
- Community guided locations, placing Pae where stories, memories, and landscapes call for them
- A national network of reflective spaces, so anyone, anywhere, can find a moment to pause and breathe
- The future of Paererewā, helping the kaupapa endure
Hatch Workshop's concept for the Blenheim Pae, one of the Pae still to be built.
How to leave a gift
A gift can take different forms. Some people choose to leave a percentage of their estate, others a specific amount, and some leave what remains after other wishes have been met. There is no right way, only what feels right for you, your family, or the community that you are part of.
Leaving a gift in your Will costs nothing now and does not change how you live today. It is simply a wish you set down for the future, one that only takes effect when the time comes.
You can talk to your solicitor or Will writer about creating or updating your Will to include Paererewā Charitable Trust.
